When Tech goes wrong in the classroom, I use it as a teaching moment and
explain what happened and if it can be fixed. It helps students when things
go wrong for them. I also tell them computers are very democratic; they
don't care whose program they mess up. I tell them about Bill Gates giving
a presentation in front of thousands and the presentation crashed!!

Debra,
I have had similar experiences when conducting
technology-related staff development. Pre-planning is
essential, but often I've had to resort to
flying-by-the-seat-of-my-pants. Fortunately, a
projector attached to my computer has often saved the
day. What has also been a help is hardcopy back-up and
a good sense of humor. Probably what has blessed me
the most is the understanding nature of the
professionals we serve.
Thanks for sharing.
Liz
