Hello Nancy, Melinda and others,

Remembering passwords is an challenge for teachers and other
practitioners, as well as for students. I wonder if you have any tips
for us. The challenge, of course, is to balance privacy/security with
convenience.

The other day a colleague suggested typing an ID and password -- for
Web sites which don't have financial or other important personal
information -- in the name of the Web site on the "bookmark" or
"favorite" in your browser. (Of course, don't also use the password
for another Web site which does require a secure password.) Do others
here do this, and does it help?

What other tips do you have for remembering IDs and passwords?

David
