Dear Sandra,

Congratulations!  I hope you will take the use of "evidence" seriously, and 
have a look at the Clackmannanshire study on synthetic phonics.  This what 
the UK government has decided to do, since our literacy strategy has 
failed - 1 in 5 primary school leavers cannot read properly.  Tony Blair 
admits it is a national scandal.
