I am wondering if any of you would be interested in sharing some lessons, ideas, tidbits, questions, controversies, etc., etc. that you gained, or were raised for you in the conference. Mary Ann Corley from the nifl-povracelit list has posted a similar message to her listserv. As she indicated, "the themes of the two listservs, nifl-womenlit and nifl-povracelit, are inextricably intertwined. The lists address the "-isms" of class, sex, and race and the implications for literacy education. We are aware that many subscribers to the nifl-womenlit and the nifl-povracelit lists are interested in issues of gender, class, and race bias. Therefore, Daphne and I will cross-post messages, as appropriate, about the themes of this conference between the two lists (nifl-womenlit and nifl-povracelit). Please share your thoughts, experiences, etc." Daphne Greenberg Center for the Study of Adult Literacy Georgia State University University Plaza Atlanta, GA 30303-3083 Fax: 404-651-1415 Ph: 404-651-0400 E-mail: alcdgg@langate.gsu.edu
