Plan to attend the October 30th Professional Development Speaker Series and learn how teachers can use contextual teaching and learning strategies to help students make connections between what they are learning in the classroom and real world problems. Susan Sears, an Associate Professor in the College of Education at The Ohio State University,will discuss contextual teaching and learning strategies and ways that contextual teaching and learning can be integrated into pre-service teacher education. The program will be held at the Longaberger Alumni House, 2200 Olentangy River Road, on The Ohio State Campus, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. We invite you to join us for the live webcast. You can access the live webcasts at www.nccte.org. There is no registration fee and free parking is available adjacent to the Longaberger Alumni House. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served. If you cannot join us live, participate in the webcast from any computer with Internet access.
