Money management and wealth(!) creation ties into self-esteem issues
particularly for the dually-diagnosed and those who are in shelters and
transitional programs. People in early recovery find that success in money
management assists with sustaining a clean and sober lifestyle as well. I
think the topic deserves concrete curriculum design attention. With grift,
( that's drift and graft combined) on the rise as well as so many other
subtle, sneaky nasty scams going around faster than Cash Advance stores
springing up, we need to counter this trend with basic money handling
skills. Starting with student loans and their long, long term implications.
