However, I wonder why adult literacy programs need to apply for grants for things that are taken for granted in the k-12 world-such as computers and software programs? Not to discount the lack of money, but sometimes the answer is simply because we don't ask. For specific programs and purposes, like a computer lab, there are organizations that offer grants. But you have to find out about them and apply for them.
