Announcing a new Home-buying Literacy Web-based Resource
for Teachers and Program Coordinators
---------------------------------------------------------

The Adult Literacy Resource Institute, with support from the Fannie Mae
Foundation, has recently posted on the Web a free sourcebook for
teachers and program coordinators who wish to bring topics of personal
finance, economics and housing into their ESOL and Adult Basic Education
classrooms and programs.

The Home-buying Readiness and Money Management Sourcebook for Teachers
of ESOL and Adult Basic Education can be found at:

	http://www.fanniemaefoundation.org/esol_abe

The Sourcebook includes: housing-related and personal finance lessons
from our field; a section on planning, implementing and evaluating a
home-buying readiness project; and case studies on such projects.
There's a well-developed section on fund-raising strategies and
possible sources of resources to support this kind of project.

We hope this resource is useful to you.
