Update

In Observance of Domestic Violence Month
Domestic violence is often kept silent in the Latino culture. This can make
it harder for victimized women and children to get help. This article
offers information for parents on the underlying causes of domestic
violence, how domestic violence affects children, and where to find help.

MentorGirls.org, a Web site dedicated to encouraging adult women to mentor
girls, has launched a new bilingual section called LatinaMentor. This
section was created to address the special needs of Latina girls, as well as
Latina mentors. It offers articles about mentoring Latinas, as well as a
listing of on-line resources and recommended reading. The current article
highlighted on www.mentorgirls.org features SAMHSA's ĄSoy Unica! ĄSoy
Latina! Initiative. Click here to visit LatinaMentor:
