I just came across a great resource. If you order News For You from New
Readers Press (a newspaper designed for adults who have difficulty
reading traditional newspapers), you can qualify to receive 20 free
copies of Voting Guides! These voting guides can help students
understand the "who, what, where, and why" of voting in the United
States. The guides give students information on reasons to vote, who
votes, what we vote on, choosing a president, registering to vote,
political parties, getting informed, and casting your vote. All
information is written in plain English and should serve as a perfect
reading and discussion activity for the classroom.
For more information call 1-800-448-8878.
