In her adult classroom there were books on famous African Americans, famous disabled Americans, and famous Asian Americans, but there were no books on famous Lesbians. Although she states that her skills are not high enough to write a book, or as she says it "even think about writing a book" she decided to start keeping a list for herself so that one day if she can get her GED and her writing "up there" she can write such a book. I asked her if she would like to share her list with all of us, and she said "oh no, I can't write yet for an audience, but maybe you can write it for me? And be sure not to write my name-I am not ready to be famous yet." So here is her list, without her name, but on behalf of the listserv I would like to thank her for sharing this list.
