Our show is aimed at the pre-GED adult learner, though many adapt it for use with ESOL learners or lower or higher level readers. The show is magazine format; each half hour features a number of segments modeled after popular TVgenres in which adults hone their reading, writing and math in real life situations such as writing a resume, filling out applications, etc. The show is not a workplace show per se; rather its themes are parenting, money (including job search and consumer economic issues) and health. Organizations using our material find that this holistic approach helps adults grapple with health and family issues that often impact on an individual's ability to get and retain a job. TV411 is broadcast on many cable and PBS stations, and is available for purchase in sets of 10 or videos and accompanying workbooks. For more information, call Nancy Rademacher at 212-807-4244.
