I have been directed to this site as part of an internet based course I =
am doing about Workplace Basic Skills.=20

I have been reading the Q&A session with Dr. Larry Mikulecky, whilst =
reading it made me think of assessment and diagnostic tests.=20

At the college I work in we use a Basic Skills test to assess students =
when they first come to the college, this test is supposed to indicate =
at what level of literacy and numeracy they are at. In the Learning =
Centre I am manager of we have online testing, which again is diagnostic =
and supposed help learners plan their learning.=20

I would like to get other peoples opinions on the diagnostic test they =
have used and how much worth do they hold and do they have suggestions =
for ones which were effective in indicating learners levels.=20

Look forward to hearing your responses.

Zoe
