The following training opportunity is available to you:
"Bridges Out of Poverty--Strategies for Professionals and Communities"
to be held this September 19,20, and 21 in Wausau, Wisconsin. Complete
information on the conference, registration and hotel information is
available at http://cf.uwex.edu/ces/flp/bp/

If you are at all involved in welfare to work projects you will find the
research by Ruby Payne and Associates a step toward increased success.

According to Cascade Engineering, "before we learned about Ruby's work, we
didn't understand how the rules of generational poverty conflict with middle
class values of the typical workplace. Now our welfare-to-career program
has an 83% retention rate and some 50 employees have advanced to higher
levels of responsibility and pay."

This trainer-the-trainer conference will provide:
a solution-based approach to help educators working with employers,
community organizations, policy makers and social service agencies to better
understand and work with individuals in poverty.
an understanding of generational poverty, the unspoken values to
economic classes and how to bridge the gaps between them.

Again the web site for the conference is http://cf.uwex.edu/ces/flp/bp/
