In KY we are quickly growing in ESL instruction at the workplace. It would benefit us to know your results, and I can help others to find your information as well. I am in the process of building a web site. I have posted the address on this forum earlier this summer. Now that fall is here I will post it again for those that missed it previously. The site address is: www.geocities.com/workplace_education I am requesting that the list members forward to me website addresses to add to the site. I have been getting some very interesting sites sent to me. It would be great to continually add new ones! I had already been asked about adding ESL and the workplace. I am waiting for a list of websites dealing with that to be sent to me from California. I will post them on my website when she gets them to me. Maybe this message will help her to get them to me as she is on this list serve! ;) If I can help in any other way let me know! Don Howerton KY Dept for Adult Education T&D Coordinator I am wondering if anyone out there has any cold, hard facts on bottom-line benefits (the $$$=92s) that companies reap when they provide on-site (or not on-site) English instruction for their employees. I have found the information on WWW.WorkplaceBasicSkills.com <http://www.workplacebasicskills.com/> to be very helpful but they are not ESL specific. Does anyone have specifics or know where I can find them? Many thanks, Laurel Yaroch Workplace Literacy Coordinator Kent County Literacy Council 616-245-7962 fax 245-8069 lryaroch@kentliteracy.org
