I've copied one of the messages (deleting the subscriber's information and the attachment), so you can see what the message included. DO NOT open the attached files. I believe they are infected with a virus. Only open attachments that you expect. If you do not expect an attachment from someone, you should check with them before opening anything. The infected attachments often have odd endings, such as "scr" or "pif." Here is one of the messages I received - which includes part of a list message, my name, a subscriber's name, and the suggestion to 'Take a look to the attachment': _____________________________ Date: Thu, 11 Oct 2001 05:18:37 -1000 (HST) From: "Tomoso Home" <tomoso@hgea.org> To: <blv1@psu.edu> Subject: Re: [NIFL-WORKPLACE:314] HandsNet WebClipper Digest 'Barb Van Horn (by way of xxx)' wrote: ==== - HandsNet WebClipper Digest - - The following information is from WebClipper Digest, HandsNet's - weekly overview of cross-cutting human services news from throughout - the World Wide Web. - - For daily Headlines news, Alerts and Discussions, and to start your - personal clipping service, visit WebClipper at - http://www.webclipper.org.
