WORKSHOP ON ADOLESCENT LITERACY! You are invited to participate in a
workshop to examine practice models for literacy development in adolescents,
and to respond to the research priorities document that will be posted on
the web site where you can register. This workshop is jointly sponsored by
the Office of Vocational and Adult Education of the US Department of
Education plus three other Offices (Educational Research and Improvement,
Elementary and Secondary Education, and Special Education and Rehabilitation
Services), the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, the
National Institute for Literacy, The American Federation of Teachers, the
American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the International Reading
Association and the National Education Association in an unprecedented
partnership! Come and help us plan for the future of adolescent literacy May
20 at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. There is no fee for this workshop.
