We do not encourage anyone to attach files when sending messages to the list.

If neither the file nor the sender are identified, do not open it! 
PLEASE DO NOT open any attachments - even from someone you know - 
unless you are expecting it. I have gotten e-mails from myself lately 
with bad attachments!!
