The new ERIC will have 1 database and 1 website. Whether Clearinghouses will be able to archive their websites to continue to make their materials and information accessible may be a problem for some. We haven't discussed it here yet. How the new contractor will arrange the website is, of course, unknown. There will be no publications and no user services (AskERIC, Question answering, search help, etc.) eSchool News has a good, clear article on it (<http://www.eschoolnews.com/news/showStoryts.cfm?ArticleID=4513>http://www.eschoolnews.com/news/showStoryts.cfm?ArticleID=4513). You have to register, but there is no charge. A very different ERIC.
