Hello-

I believe Howard Dooley was asking whether any program awards certificates
to adults for skills attainment- not whether teachers are certified:
"Does your state have a process for recognizing skill attainment before a
secondary credential is awarded? Is it considering one? If so, what
standards are included? What levels of performance are recognized? What
assessments are being used?"

I'd be very interested to hear answers to this; there are many learners who
attain useful and marketable skills, but who are many semesters away from a
diploma. Do programs award certifications that a learner show a potential
employer what the learner knows and is able to do- before a learner has
attained a diploma or GED?

thank you,
