Just a quick reminder that starting this Tuesday, Oct. 13th there will be a new NIFL electronic discussion list called the Reading and Writing Skills List. If you are interested, please go to http://www.nifl.gov/mailman/listinfo/readwrite
and subscribe.
The list will focus on topics such as motivation and reading/writing, diversity and reading/writing, component skills of reading/writing, reading/writing instruction, reading/writing strategies, reading/writing skills necessary for post secondary and workplace settings, and child/adult differences in reading/writing.
I think that many of you who have interests in assessment, may find the list interesting, in terms of a focus on reading and writing assessments. I know that your assessment voices will be welcome as we explore the various reading and writing topics.
Please help spread the word around. The list won't be active until Oct. 13th, so if you have questions before then, please feel free to email me at: dgreenberg at gsu.edu
When you subscribe (http://www.nifl.gov/mailman/listinfo/readwrite) please don't forget to answer the confirmation email that you receive (until you do so, you won't be officially subscribed).
Thanks,
Daphne Greenberg
