Greetings subscribers,
Are you looking for tools and ideas to design instruction that addresses
learners needs?
The free on-line EFF Teaching/Learning Toolkit
(http://eff.cls.utk.edu/toolkit) provides instructors with models of good
standards-based instructional practice. The toolkit includes:
· Examples of teaching in varied contexts, including ESOL, ABE, GED,
workforce development, volunteer settings, and family literacy
· How to use standards to guide instruction
· Supporting tools and materials to design and carry out activities
The EFF Center has developed a newsletter to aid instructors in
understanding the resources available in and the possible uses of the EFF
Teaching/Learning Toolkit. The text of this newsletter will be contained
in a second email. Please feel free to forward to colleagues and
practitioners in your state or program who would be interested in this
resource.
If you wish to receive the formatted newsletter as an attachment, please
contact me directly (akohring at utk.edu) and I can send it to you.
Regards,
Aaron
