Hi. I have been following the conversation and thank you all for sharing. In
most likelihood, Guam would follow what is set up as a national standard. As
far as our own development, we have recently revamped our adult high school
diploma program to include a minimum entry level determined through a CASAS
appraisal. A detailed description is available at
http://www.guamcc.net/admissions/catalog/guambook.pdf.

Subject: [ContentStandards 234] Mid-week with CASAS guest speakers
Greetings all,
We are now mid-week in our discussion with our CASAS guests (Jane Eguez,
Jim Harrison, and Linda Taylor) on the CASAS Basic Skills Content
Standards Project. We've learned something about the background and
research behind the project, heard from a couple of the states involved
with the project, and know about some of the next steps. We've also
generated a more general discussion around next steps/processes for
states applying or implementing the content standards that they've
developed.
If you have missed part of this discussion or need to catch up, you can
check the public archives at:

"Read Current Posted Messages".
You still have time to participate in the current discussions or ask
additional questions of our CASAS guests so feel free to send in your
questions or input!
