[EnglishLanguage] help with book, videoDottie dottie at shattuck.netWed Nov 9 20:33:17 EST 2005
Thanks, Beverly -- and everyone who has answered my questions. I've been teaching "Calling " for years (even before we had 9-1-1 in Wis.), but some of my new refugees seem to need more than pictures & dialogue practice. If San Diego County still has this video available, I'll post the info. here. The back of the box says ICT Video Productions, 345 First St., Suite Q, Encinitas, CA 92024, and the phone is 619-942-3816. Goodness only knows whether you can contact any of these groups, but you might try READ/San Diego or ProLiteracy headquarters. The film is about 12 minutes long, and I haven't viewed it so I don't know how dated it is. Every publisher has several, but which are better - worth our scarce grant dollars? Also, does anyone know of a source for an video on "Calling 9-1-1"? I attempted an on-line search, but found nothing. Any ideas? If there isn't such a video out there, there certainly should be!
