Hello,

I would recommend he try and find a language partner. If he wants to
practice speaking, he can find partners and talk to them here:

www.language-exchanges.org <http://www.language-exchanges.org/>

If he'd prefer and email exchange, eTandem is probably the best bet.

Both sites are free.

Subject: [EnglishLanguage 496] internet ESL sites

Dear Colleagues:

Would you suggest some good on-line sites for an adult ESL student to
study on his own?

My student is a high beginner who comes to class whenever his work
schedule permits. His first language is Farsi.

He has an cable connection, so computer speed isn't a problem.

I know this has been asked before (often), but I've failed to save the
suggestions. Sorry!

Thanks,
