Dear subscribers,
Clare El Azebbi of Learning Connections Communities Scotland asked me to post her query (below) to the list about resources and research related to numeracy and speakers of other languages. You can respond to the list or to Clare directly. Thanks and I hope you have a nice holiday.

Hi there
Here in Scotland we are beginning to look into the issues of numeracy for speakers of other languages, in terms of support, teaching and learning. There doesn't appear to be much research on the subject, or many resources, or examples of effective practice.
Does anyone have any examples of Numeracy with speakers of other languages, pieces of research or resources?
Appreciated!
Clare
