Hello -

I just wanted to mention a few things about the upcoming TESOL
Convention next week for those of you who may be attending.  If you are
early birds, you may find two discussion groups of interest.  
Wednesday morning at 7:30, I will be facilitating a discussion group on
"Generation 1.5".  My program is beginning to see a few students of this
category and I am hoping to learn more at the discussion group. 

Thursday morning - same time, Bryan Woerner from CAL and I will lead a
discussion group on "Ideas to Get Adult Students Listening".  There will
be information (handouts too!) on research/teaching listening skills,
lesson planning and ideas! 

Saturday morning - 9:30 - 10:15,  Kathy Olson will be doing a session on
"Repetition:  Multiple Activities Using One Reading Selection".  I make
it a point never to miss one of Kathy's sessions- I always, always learn
something I can take back and use immediately with my classes.  She has
so many awesome ideas!
