I'm a member of the English language discussion list and am currently
working as a researcher for the Department of Labour in New Zealand. I'm
doing some research as part of the Upskilling Partnership Programme - a
programme which aims to raise LLN skills at the lower end of the workforce.
I'm writing a research proposal on ESOL issues connected with workplace LLN
training programmes and found a good quote from you about the need to
distinguish between the ESOL worker competencies needed to 'get a job',
'survive a job' and 'thrive on a job'. Unfortunately the reference list
didn't include the publication this came from (I found it in the Tennessee
ESOL for the Workplace publication). Apparently the source is something you
wrote in 2002 but I can't find the reference anywhere! Please could you help
me by providing the correct reference.
