[EnglishLanguage 2685] How I handled the problem tutor

I called the tutor that the student was having problems with. I asked
the tutor to reflect on the relationship first and tell me how things
had been going. She said some interesting things and had a feeling that
it was negative between them.

I then said that the student is going away to Mexico for a couple of
months and that when she returns, she wants another tutor. The tutor
said that was fine. The tutor said that she had so much energy that she
wants to work with a classroom and not with just one student. That maybe
that was too overwhelming for the student. Great! That put me at ease!
She realized it herself. So at the end, I didn't have to compromise the
student's feelings at all.

I asked her if she wanted any support or anything else from myself or
from Project CARE, and she said no. We basically left it at that.

Just wanted to fill you in! I am new to leading this program (less than
six months), so I try to get as much support as I can from all the
sources available.

Thanks again for everyone who voiced their opinions! I feel like I dealt
with it better as a result of the comments I received from everyone.

Karin
