Cambridge University Press has a series of readers for low levels, too. They
are called English Readers. Many are fiction (mystery, romance, sci fi…)but
some are profiles of famous people and other topics. You can get them with
or without an audio version.

According to their website, they provide “free online resources for students
and teachers at www.cambridge.org/elt/readers include vocabulary placement
test, lesson plans and worksheets for every title and provide all the
support you need for successful learning through reading.”
