This past January, this list  had a focused discussion on the topic of
managing programs for adults learning English. Three program  managers -
all former instructors of adult English language learners --  MaryAnn
Florez, Donna Kinerney, and Brigitte Marshall,  co-facilitated the

The brief outlines fundamental responsibilities of adult education
administrators, describes components of typical programs serving adult
English language learners, and includes resources and tools that can
facilitate successful administration of these components. Whenever
applicable, the brief seeks to highlight issues and components (and
skills needed by managers)  specific to programs serving adults learning
English. 

 

This brief is the third in a series of briefs published by the CAELA
Network in 2009,  written specifically to address issues of program
managers whose programs serve adults learning English.
