> Education Statistics (NCES) will be releasing the first report  

> based on data from the National Assessment of Adult Literacy on  

> Thursday, December 15, 2005.  The report, A First Look at the  

> Literacy of America's Adults in the 21st Century will be available  

> on the NCES website:  www.nces.ed.gov/naal.  The reports from five  

> states who purchased a state sample in coordination with the NAAL
