Celebrate Black History Month! As you know, February is Black History Month. The Internet is a great resource for information on Black history and culture. Here are some sites to get you started, The Library of Congress has a resource guide, The African-American Mosaic, dedicated to Black history. http://www.loc.gov/exhibits/african/intro.html PBS features unique experiences and accomplishments of African Americans where you can browse by category or search for a specific person. http://www.pbs.org/wnet/aaworld/ The New York Public Library presents numerous biographies of African- American women writers of the 19th century. http://digital.nypl.org/schomburg/writers_aa19/biographies.html The History Channel gives a schedule of programs it is running through the month of February.
