Celebrate Black History Month!

As you know, February is Black History Month. The Internet is a
great resource for information on Black history and
culture. Here are some sites to get you started,

The Library of Congress has a resource guide, The African-American
Mosaic, dedicated to Black history.

PBS features unique experiences and accomplishments of African
Americans where you can browse by category or search for a specific
person.
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/aaworld/

The New York Public Library presents numerous biographies of African-
American women writers of the 19th century.
http://digital.nypl.org/schomburg/writers_aa19/biographies.html

The History Channel gives a schedule of programs it is running
through the month of February. You will also find some resource
pages, such as pages titled History of the Civil Rights Struggle,
Great Speeches and Did You Know?
