Have you visited the Midwest LINCS Family Literacy Special Collections Web site recently? (http://literacy.kent.edu/Midwest/ FamilyLit/index.html) For those of you who not familiar with this site, the Midwest LINCS, operates out of the Ohio Literacy Resource Center, Kent State University, Kent, Ohio. It is designed to provide those working with families quick access to high quality resources. Pages of special interest: · News Flashes provides links to current stories of successful programs. · Research about Family Literacy features guides to understanding and using research. · Program Manager/Administrator has resources on funding and grant writing, evaluating programs and using volunteers in your program. · Family Literacy Practitioners offers links to resources for each of the four components. Take a few minutes today to navigate around the Family Literacy Special Collections site. Then drop back in frequently. I think you will enjoy it. Gail J.
