There is an issue of Focus on Basics that you might enjoy reading.It  
is devoted to multilevel classroom instruction.Go to http:// 
www.ncsall.net/index.php?id=446  Look at the right hand column for a  
list of the articles in that edition.

There is also an Eric Digest article entitled Teaching Multilevel  
Adult ESL classes. There are many ideas in the article that can be  
used in any classroom. Take a look at  http://www.ericdigests.org/ 
1996-1/adult.htm

The California Adult Literacy Professional Development Project  
created some materials around multi-level instructional strategies  
for multi-level, multi-subject classrooms to help its ABE/GED  
instructors implement the state instructional standards. They can be  
found at http://www.calpro-online.org/training/multi.html
