Hello, all.
Reading over some recent messages about Freedom Writers and the Paper Clip 
Project reminded me of the Neighborhood Story Project, which began in New 
Orleans in 2004.  Six city high-schoolers conducted interviews and 
research and ultimately published books containing their writings about 
themselves & their neighbors.  The project garnered a lot of community 
support, and has even published a post-Katrina collaborative book written 
by residents of the Ninth Ward neighborhood.
