Thanks, Hillary, for your message. I was not aware of the New Orleans
Neighborhood Story Project. I did take a look at the Web site and found
it very interesting. Thanks for sharing with us.

Hello, all.
Reading over some recent messages about Freedom Writers and the Paper
Clip Project reminded me of the Neighborhood Story Project, which began
in New Orleans in 2004. Six city high-schoolers conducted interviews
and research and ultimately published books containing their writings
about themselves & their neighbors. The project garnered a lot of
community support, and has even published a post-Katrina collaborative
book written by residents of the Ninth Ward neighborhood.
