Drop Everything and Read Day is celebrated across the nation on April
12, the birthday of beloved children's author Beverly Cleary.

Schools, libraries, businesses, public agencies and other organizations
are asked to host Drop Everything and Read events this Thursday.
Families can participate in their own home by reading for 30 minutes.
