The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy is proud to announce its fourth annual Maryland grant competition! Beginning on October 1, 2007, any public or non-profit organization in the state of Maryland that has been in existence for at least two years and has implemented a literacy program designed to help, adults, young children ages pre-K to third grade, or both, is eligible to submit an application under the Maryland Grant Competition. These grants allow programs to request up to $50,000 to develop or expand an existing family literacy program in the state of Maryland. Each year, at least ten grantees are chosen to receive grants from the $500,000 funding pool available to perpetuate the dream of family literacy.
