Good morning everyone. Please read the following announcement and when
you have a few minutes, take a look at the program self-assessment tool.
Verizon Literacy Program Self-Assessment Tool (VLP-SAT)
The VLP-SAT is a free, versatile online survey designed to help programs
target their planning and professional development to ensure that
instruction is research-based and literacy-focused. The instrument
offers strategies to increase literacy outcomes for learners across the
life span.
Each module of the VLP-SAT may be used independently or in combination
for multigenerational programs.
The VLP-SAT provides standards, indicators and evidence-based practices
for:
* Early Literacy
* Elementary School-Age Literacy
* Adolescent Literacy
* Adult Literacy
Developed by the National Center for Family Literacy for Thinkfinity.org
with support from the Verizon Foundation, the VLP-SAT can help programs
evaluate the consistent and intentional delivery of key literacy
services.
For more information, visit Thinkfinity.org and click on Thinkfinity
Literacy Network.
