A recent OELA Newsline contained a notice about a brief by Robin
Waterman and Beth Harry. The brief, from the National Center for
Culturally Responsive Educational Systems, is titled "Building
Collaboration between Schools and Parents of English Language Learners:
Transcending Barriers, Creating Opportunities." It discusses barriers
facing ELL parents and school staff in increasing the involvement of ELL
