Hi Everyone,
The list has been quiet, but I want to check in and let you know that we
will start having a Wednesday Question. Every Wednesday, I will put out
a question on the list that might be interesting to share thoughts and
information about. Please e-mail me if you have suggestions.
Today I hope most of you are winding down for a long weekend, but in
honor of Thanksgiving, I will put out this informal first Wednesday
Question:
What are you thankful for in terms of our field moving forward?
I am thankful that there is such growth lately of forums for discussion
and action in supporting healthliteracy in this country. I see people
from many different disciplines talking about it. I see conferences,
books, government publications, teachers addressing the issue, and the
addition of health literacy questions on the latest National Assessment
of Adult Literacy. I think we have taken many steps forward and am
thankful for that.
What about you all?
Have a warm and healthy Thanksgiving!
All the best,
Julie
