A Very Good Holiday to All!
I am thankful for all those quiet, underappreciated, underrecognized
adult literacy tutors who individually make a huge difference in the
lives of their students. One student at a time gains self-
appreciation, self-confidence, and a knowledge of how to better get
around in this world that is run by the literate. These tutors have
no great knowledge of theory, no great background of the philosophy
of learning: they just quietly teach the alphabet, the phonics and
the sight words, one student at a time.
