Hi Everyone,
It's time again for the Wednesday Question! Thank you so much for all of
your givings of thanks in response to last week's question. It is
inspiring and comforting to see our field's successes acknowledged and
appreciated!
This week's Wednesday Question:
In Martha's posting (see last one) she says: "I think it is important
for health educators to be able to address issues of racism, classism,
and gender in their practice," and talks about including the broader
concept of diversity and cultural sensitivity in the training of health
educators.
What is being done in this regard in your organizations? What needs to
be done better? How does the training of these issues affect health
educators' abiltiy to deal with literacy challenges?
I look forward to hearing from you!
All the best,
Julie
