Hello,
It looks as though there are a lot of resources out there according to the amount of responses given, and I personally am excited to check some of these out.
Another option, depending on how soon you wanted the on line training/webbing to occur, is Health Literacy Dallas is working on developing on line trainings for medical professionals (providers, nurses, and public health professionals).  I'm not sure yet if these will be worth CUE hours, although that is the initial (hopeful) plan.  We will also probably have much shorter health communication videos on specific topics.  These videos may include things such as demonstrating the use of the teach back technique, how to communicate with different cultures, administering the NBS or REALM, etc.  These videos and webinars will all be available for public use and hopefully will start arriving on our website sometime in early Spring 2010.
Also, if there are any specific topics you or anyone else on the listserve would like to see demonstrated in our shorter video series, please let me know and I will try to include them in the curriculum if possible.

Best,
Matt

Hi Everyone,

In moving our health literacy work forward, I am searching for some sort of video, webinar training, etc. that goes over health literacy 101.  It will become something mandatory for all of our clinical staff at a network of 9 community-based health centers.  While I would ideally like to do an interactive training with all staff, pulling them away from clinic time is not feasible.  Any ideas? Anyone willing to talk off line who has been through this before?

Thanks so much,
