I got a request from a local adult education program to see if there are any
funding opportunities for non-profit organizations to improve their program
accessibility. This particular request was for money to build a new
wheelchair-accessible ramp, and to re-do the bathroom. But I would also be
interested in any grants available regarding accessibility for adult
ed/literacy students who have learning disabilities. Does anyone know of
any money available for either of these areas of program accessibility?
They do plan to request funding from their local Rotarians, which is a good
plan, I think. Rotary International is very supportive of projects that
help people with disabilities.
But other sources are always good to know about....
Thanks,
