[LearningDisabilities] Resources from National Institute for LiteracyMaureen Carro mcarro at lmi.netWed Feb 1 13:47:06 EST 2006
June Crawford mentioned this website on an earlier posting: www.nifl.gov/readingprofiles; ADULTS who come to us with reading/language difficulties, also come with a variety of coping skills and cognitive strengths that they have been using to manage life so far! It is important to know EXACTlY where the deficit lies. The assessment at the above website is excellent. In adult learning we want to TARGET the deficit and USE the strengths! This resource REALLY helps!
