Hi Andrea,

I have asked one of the Bridges to Practice Master Trainers to answer this
question for you. The answer is forthcoming from Patti White, Master Trainer
with Bridges to Practice and Disabilities Project Manager from the Arkansas
Adult Learning Resource Center.

Thanks for the question!

Rochelle,

Could you perhaps list the major attributes of the Bridges to Practice
model? That might be a useful way to get us all on the same page.

I still remain deeply troubled and in fact confused as to what I feel about
the"disabled" word. It suggests perhaps a life long disability with no
chance of remediation or change. Suppose a person is terrified of the water and
finally learns to swim. This has always bothered me.

Thanks.

Andrea
