[LearningDisabilities] Doing something about it...(developmental ed)

.. one area ripe for "doing something" is getting knowledge out about people with learning disabilities in developmental courses. WHile in some places, "developmental ed" is sort of a sentence served by faculty until they have the seniority to teach "better" courses, there are legions of other teachers who specialize in developmental education, and want to reach more students. (Our statistics, by the way, aren't particularly good. The dropout rate is very high for developmental students.)
I'm really excited at the potential of some of the recent applications of technology for providing scaffolds for LD students to get them over some of the skills obstacles.
