I've looked at some of the learning objects. I can see why the "Cell" one is so popular. That is one a person could actually *study* from. you've got the list of parts... you see if you can find them in the picture and remember what htey are. Then you check by mousing over. It's very visual, and with a little guidance, easy to interact with.

In contrast are the "general math" objects, which are essentially math texts typed into the computer. (Actually, the same could be said for the biology - but biology texts have better visuals and the "object" added the mouse-over aspect.) So many of my students need a connection *between* visual and language, not a bigger font size and the "fun" of clicking on a mouse (for some of my older students, the whole ocmputer thing is just one more barrier to overcome).
